POLYSPORIN® ANTIBIOTIC BURN CREAM

Polymyxin B Sulfate – Gramicidin – Lidocaine HCl

Antibiotic – Anesthetic – Antipruritic

Indications And Clinical Uses: For treatment and prevention of infection of minor burns and scalds and relief of skin pain.

Contra-Indications: Hypersensitivity to any of the components.

Precautions: As with other antibiotic preparations, prolonged use may result in overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms. Appropriate measures should be taken if this occurs.

If adverse reaction or irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician. In the case of a serious burn, consult a physician.

Symptoms And Treatment Of Overdose: Symptoms and Treatment: Treatment is symptomatic.

Dosage: A small quantity may be applied 2 to 5 times daily as required.

Availability And Storage: Each g of cream contains: polymyxin B sulfate 10 000 units, gramicidin 0.25 mg and lidocaine HCl 50 mg. Nonmedicinal ingredients: mineral oil, paraben, petrolatum, polysorbate, propylene glycol, sodium hydroxide, water and wax. Tubes of 15 and 30 g. Store at 15 to 25°C.
