Verrucae Therapy
Indications And Clinical Uses: For common, plantar and mosaic warts.
Contra-Indications: Diabetics or patients with impaired blood circulation should not use this product without the advice of a health professional. Do not use on moles, birthmarks or unusual warts with hair growing from them. Do not use near eyes or mucous membranes.
Manufacturers’ Warnings In Clinical States: Do not use on inflamed and/or infected skin.
Precautions: For external use only. Duoforte 27 gel is highly flammable and should be kept away from fire or flame. Keep tube tightly capped when not in use. Store at controlled room temperature.
If spilled on mucous membranes or in eyes, flush with water, remove precipitated collodion and flush with water for an additional 15 minutes. Contact physician. Keep this and all medication out of reach of children.
Dosage And Administration: Thoroughly wash the affected area and soak the wart in warm water for at least 5 minutes. Dry completely with a clean towel. Warts can be contagious, so be sure no one else uses the towel. Remove the soft portion of the wart by gently rubbing with an emery board, pumice stone or coarse washcloth. Apply a thin layer directly to the wart using the pointed applicator tip. Take care to keep away from the skin surrounding the wart.
The gel will dry and form an acrylic barrier, protecting the wart and aiding in the penetration of the medication.
Apply Duoforte 27 gel once each day and continue treatment as directed by physician. If skin irritation develops or if there appears to be no improvement within 10 days or if the condition persists after 14 days of the treatment, contact physician.
Availability And Storage: Each g contains: salicylic acid 27% w/w in a nonmedicinal polyacrylic collodion gel. Nonmedicinal ingredients: polybutylene, ethyl lactate, polymethylmethacrylate, alcohol absolute, flexible collodion and hydroxypropylcellulose. Tubes of 15 g with applicator tips.
