System Components and Performance

Dolomite is a natural magnesium and calcium carbonate more often white, pale yellow or gray. The mineral is quite fragile. The glitter of the stone on edges is glass, cleavage in unit is matte.

It should be noted that dolomite powder effervesces in chilled hydrochloric acid, while pieces of the mineral dissolve in it very slowly, but they dissolve rapidly in hot acid.

Dolomite is used in industry as a raw material for production of magnesium metal, it is also used in open-hearth furnaces as a material for production of flux and refractories in steel production process.

Therapeutic properties

Curative properties of dolomite have not been fully investigated at the moment. Despite this, many lithotherapists claim that this mineral as a whole has tonic effect on human body.

It is established that the stone has the most favorable effect on nervous system of its owner. It helps to calm, frees from mania, various phobias and unreasonable anxiety, relieves insomnia, restoring normal sleep.

The mineral contains a large amount of ionized calcium, which is an important component of cells and tissues of human body. It favorably affects acid-base balance, reduces possibility of cardiovascular and vascular diseases, normalizes blood pressure and blood sugar, and is effective preventive means for osteoporosis. There is evidence that dolomite reduces possibility of kidney stones. Dolomite also raises life force of man and his resistance to stress.
