Urinary Antiseptic

Indications And Clinical Uses: Mild and chronic urinary tract infections, especially cystitis, prostatitis, urethritis.

Symptoms And Treatment Of Overdose: Symptoms: Nausea, anorexia, pain on urination.

Treatment: Gastric lavage or emesis. In children, induce emesis and if there is no immediate response, use gastric lavage. No known antidote.

Dosage: 2 level teaspoonfuls in 240 mL of water 3 times a day before meals, or as prescribed.

Availability And Storage: Each 2 level teaspoonfuls (approximately 10 g) of fine, white, effervescent granules contain: hexamine 500 mg. Nonmedicinal ingredients: silicon dioxide, sodium bicarbonate, sodium cyclamate and tartaric acid. Sodium: 6.2 mmol (145 mg). Gluten- and tartrazine-free. Bottles of 255 g.
