Analgesic – Skeletal Muscle Relaxant

Indications And Clinical Uses: Symptomatic relief of mild to moderate pain.

Contraindications, Precautions and Adverse Effects: See Norflex and ASA. Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting a physician.

Reye’s Syndrome may develop in individuals who have chickenpox, influenza, or flu symptoms. Some studies suggest a possible association between the development of Reye’s Syndrome and the use of medicines containing salicylate or ASA. Norgesic and Norgesic Forte contain ASA and therefore are not recommended for use in patients with chickenpox, influenza or flu symptoms.

Dosage And Administration: Norgesic: Adults, 1 to 2 tablets 3 or 4 times a day.

Norgesic Forte: Adults: 1 tablet 3 or 4 times daily.

Availability And Storage: Norgesic: Each white and yellow tablet, “3M” imprint on yellow face, “NORGESIC” imprint on white face, contains: orphenadrine citrate 25 mg, ASA 385 mg, caffeine 30 mg. Nonmedicinal ingredients: D&C yellow #10, lactose, polyethylene glycol, povidone, starch, sucrose and zinc stearate. Tartrazine-free. Bottles of 100.

Norgesic Forte: Each white and yellow capsule-shaped tablet, “3M” imprint on yellow face, “NORGESIC FORTE” imprint/bisect score on white face, contains: orphenadrine citrate 50 mg, ASA 770 mg, caffeine 60 mg. Nonmedicinal ingredients: D&C yellow #10, lactose, polyethylene glycol, povidone, starch, sucrose and zinc stearate. Tartrazine-free. Bottles of 100.
