Action And Clinical Pharmacology: The active ingredient, simethicone acts in the stomach and intestines to disperse and reduce the formation of mucus-trapped gas bubbles. This defoaming action reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles so that they are more easily eliminated.

Indications And Clinical Uses: Effective antiflatulent that helps relieve the discomfort caused by excess gas in the stomach and intestinal tract, which occurs 30 minutes to several hours after eating.

Warning: Do not take for more than 2 weeks, or if symptoms recur, unless directed by a physician. Keep out of reach of children.

Symptoms And Treatment Of Overdose: Symptoms and Treatment: Symptomatic.

Dosage And Administration: Gas-X: Adults and Children 12 Years and Older: Chew 1 or 2 tablets as needed after meals and at bedtime. Children under 12 years: Use only on the advice and under the supervision of a physician. Do not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours. Do not increase dosage unless recommended by your physician.

Gas-X Extra Strength: Adults: Adults and Children 12 Years and Older: Chew 1 or 2 tablets as needed after meals and at bedtime. Children under 12 years: Use only on the advice and under the supervision of a physician. Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours. Do not increase dosage unless recommended by your physician.

Availability And Storage: Gas-X: Peppermint Creme: Each white, round, flat, beveled-edge, uncoated tablet, with “Gas-X” embossed on one side and single score on the other, contains: simethicone 80 mg. Nonmedicinal ingredients: calcium carbonate, dextrose, flavor, maltodextrin. Security feature: Blister sealed tablets, boxes of 36.

Gas-X Extra Strength: Peppermint Creme: Each yellow, round, flat, beveled-edge, uncoated tablet, with “Gas-X ES” embossed on one side and single score on the other, contains: simethicone 125 mg. Nonmedicinal ingredients: calcium phosphate, D&C Red No. 30, D&C Yellow No. 10, dextrose, flavor, maltodextrin and silicon dioxide. Security feature: Blister sealed tablets, boxes of 18.

Cherry Creme: Each reddish pink, round, flat, beveled-edge, uncoated tablet, with “Gas-X ES” embossed on one side and single score on the other, contains: simethicone 125 mg. Nonmedicinal ingredients: calcium phosphate, D&C Red No. 30, dextrose, flavors, maltodextrin and silicon dioxide. Security feature: Blister sealed tablets, boxes of 18.

Store at room temperature in a dry place.
