Antibacterial – Antifungal

Indications And Clinical Uses: For the treatment of mouth and throat infections.

Contra-Indications: Dequalinium chloride sensitivity.

Precautions: If irritation persists or sensitization occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician.

Adverse Reactions: Allergic reactions have been reported rarely.

Dosage And Administration: Lozenges: 1 lozenge sucked slowly every 2 or 3 hours. In severe infections, increase frequency of administration.

Oral Paint: Apply freely to infected area, every 2 or 3 hours or as directed by the physician.

Availability And Storage: Lozenges: Each lozenge contains: dequalinium chloride 0.25 mg in a flavored sucrose base. Available in orange, lemon and strawberry flavors. Energy: 18.0 kJ (4.29 kcal).

Oral Paint: Each bottle contains: dequalinium chloride 0.5% w/v in a propylene glycol base. Also contains alcohol 3.8% v/v. Cartoned bottles of 25 mL.
