Laxative

Indications And Clinical Uses: A laxative or purgative. Preparation of the colon for x-ray examination.

Contra-Indications: Abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting. Known or suspected intestinal obstruction.

Precautions: Frequent or prolonged use may result in dependence on laxatives.

Dosage: Adults: as a laxative: 1/4 to 1/2 bottle; as a purgative: 1 bottle before breakfast or as prescribed before x-ray examination. Children (6 to 12 years): 30 to 60 mL according to age. Under 6 years: as prescribed. Dose may be repeated once if necessary. The solution should be served chilled and a glass of water should be consumed every hour before and after intake. Full x-ray preparation protocol available.
