Antacids can interfere with the absorption of iron preparations and/or tetracyclines. Precautions: Avoid concomitant use with tetracycline antibiotics and/or iron preparations. Do not take within 2 hours of another medicine because the effectiveness of the other medicine may be altered. Symptoms And Treatment Of Overdose: Symptoms: In the presence of renal insufficiency, accumulation of magnesium in circulation may cause CNS depression. Chronic ingestion may lead to phosphorus deficiency in presence of low phosphorus diet. tag_Treatment Treatment: Symptomatic. Dosage: Adults: 10 to 20 mL taken 4 times daily as needed between meals and at bedtime or as directed. Availability And Storage: Each 5 mL of opaque, white suspension with a mint flavor and a peppermint and spearmint odor (pH: 7.3 to 8.5) contains: aluminum hydroxide 165 mg (as aluminum hydroxide compress gel), magnesium hydroxide 200 mg.
