Contra-Indications: Should not be given to patients who are severely debilitated or suffering from kidney failure, alkalosis or hypermagnesemia. Precautions: Antacids can interfere with the absorption of iron preparations and/or tetracyclines. Should not be taken for more than 2 weeks, or if symptoms recur, unless otherwise directed by a physician. Should not be taken within 2 hours of another medication, because the effectiveness of other medications may be altered.
